TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A crash involving two minivans sent one of them into a building. The driver of that van was flown by Aero Med to the hospital.

The crash took place around 8:06 a.m. on Linden Avenue at River Hill Drive just north of M-45 Lake Michigan Drive in Talmadge Township.

M-45 Lake Michigan Drive was blocked for a time when Aero Med used it as a landing zone.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office described the crash as having one minivan westbound on River Hill Drive, driven by a man, 65, from Grand Rapids. The minivan entered the intersection and collided with a minivan northbound and Linden Avenue driven by a women, 50, from Muskegon. Her van then crashed into a building.

The woman was flown to Spectrum Butterworth in critical condition. The man was taken to another hospital with less serious injuries.

The intersection was closed during the crash investigation.
