Two firefighters injured in Holland house fire

HOLLAND, Mich. — A Holland house fire left two firefighters injured, while no occupants inside the house were harmed.

The fire started before 11 a.m. at 423 College Avenue, as the Holland Fire Department responded after reports of the back of the house being on fire.

The structure of the house itself sustained significant fire damage and smoke damage throughout.

No one who was initially inside the house at the start of the fire was injured.

One firefighter was injured when a portion of ceiling collapsed while working crews were working inside the building.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Holland's Fire Marshal is conducting an investigation into the fire.
