GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 54-year-old man from Zeeland and a 26-year-old woman from Grand Haven Township were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a crash on US-31 at Hayes Street, reports the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 7:43 a.m., the man driving northbound on US-31 and failed to stop at a red light at the intersection. He hit the small SUV driven by the woman, who was going through the intersection going eastbound on Hayes Street.
Both drivers were described in good condition when they were taken to the hospital.
The highway’s northbound lanes were closed for a short time for cleanup.
