HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A two-vehicle crash sent a teenage driver to the hospital Saturday morning.
At 8:39 a.m. Saturday, Ottawa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a two-car accident with injuries at the intersection of Butternut and Riley in Holland Township. The investigation revealed that a 16-year-old girl was driving a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta and was turning east on Riley when she struck a 2014 Jeep driven by a 63-year-old woman that was northbound on Butternut.
The teenager was injured and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was not hurt.
Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
The incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
