SPRING LAKE, Mich. — One biker was left with non-life threatening injuries after a collision with a vehicle.
Friday around 4 p.m., the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to a car vs bike personal injury traffic crash on N. Fruitport Rd at Central Ave.
Investigation showed that a bicyclist was riding westbound on the bike path and stopped at N. Fruitport Rd.
He proceeded to cross N. Fruitport Rd and peddled in front of the path of a northbound vehicle.
The vehicle could not avoid the collision and struck the bicyclist.
The bicyclist a 65-year-old Spring Lake resident was transported to North Ottawa Community Health Services with non life threatening injuries.
The vehicle operator was not injured in the crash.
