Man charged with assaulting deputy, domestic violence

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man has been charged with assaulting an Ottawa County deputy.

Bryce Dennings, 50, was arrested Thursday after deputies were called to a home in Grand Haven Township on a report of domestic violence. When deputies arrived, authorities say Dennings pointed a weapon at them through the window.

After setting deputies set up a perimeter around the home, authorities say Dennings came outside armed with several weapons and pointed one at an officer again before running away. He was arrested a short time later.

On Friday, he was arraigned on two counts of felonious assault of a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon, posession of a weapon while intxociated and domestic violence.
