HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man was arrested after a brief search following a break-in at Repete’s Party Store in Holland Township Wednesday night.

Store employees were closing up for the night at the store at 12719 Riley Street when the suspect used a rock to break the glass door and get inside. The workers went out the back of the store, went around to the front and confronted the suspect. He dropped the liquor and cigarettes he held and fled.

The search began after Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were sent to the store at 12719 Riley Street in Holland Township around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday

At one point, a K-9 unit was used in the search. A deputy found the suspect on a nearby street and made the arrest.

The suspect’s identity was not released pending arraignment.
