HOLLAND, Mich. — Winters in Michigan tend to be pretty cold and dark, which might be why one local city has decided to keep their holiday lights shining all winter long.

Amy Sasamoto is the Development Authority Coordinator for the city of Holland's downtown, and she joined FOX 17 live to tell us what inspired them to make this decision.

The lights will remain up until March, in an effort to bring much-needed light to the community.
