OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — An 83-year-old Grand Haven man was hurt when the moped he was riding crashed Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Lake Avenue near Shiawassee Drive in Grand Haven Township.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office investigation determined that the man was riding a 2018 Tao Tao moped westbound on Lake Avenue when he failed to negotiate a curve. The moped left the roadway and the rider fell off the moped and slid across a driveway.
The man was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
