GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two cars speeding east on Filmore Street crashed, splitting one of them in half and hospitalizing a driver.
Ottawa County Deputies told FOX 17 a Chevy Cobalt driven by a Troy, MI man hit a BMW driven by a Chicago, IL man from behind 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, sending both cars off the road.
The BMW stopped at the north side of the road, while the Cobalt hit a water main south of the road, split in half, and rolled several times. The driver was hospitalized for his injuries. The BMW driver was not injured, according to the police report.
Ottawa County Deputies say the investigation closed Filmore Street between 24th Avenue and 36th Avenue.
