NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Classes at West Michigan Christian School were dismissed early on Thursday after an issue with a cleaning product.
The Norton Shores Fire Department was called to the school in the morning after a cleaning product called TopSaver was used on some tools in the wood shop. The smell of the product is very strong and carried throughout the building, leading to an evacuation.
Students in the middle and high school were sent home early out of caution, but crews ultimately determined the smell of the product wasn’t a threat to anyone’s health.
