HOLLAND, Mich. — Firefighters say one person was hospitalized with minor injuries after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Holland.

The fire started just after 5 a.m. Monday at 791 E. 16th Street at the Bay Pointe Apartments.

"Right now we are still chasing the fire, we have a small fire going through the walls of the attic, now it's taking care of everyone that has been displaced and then start an investigation of how the fire started in the first place," said Lieutenant Tim Fisher, Holland Department of Public Safety Fire Division.

We're told multiple fire departments were called in to assist.

The back of the apartment complex appears to have suffered the most damage.

We have a crew on scene working to learn more.
