BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A fire in a chicken coop led to two nearby sheds being completely destroyed sometime before 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

Fire crews in Blendon Township said they believe a heat lamp is what caused the blaze.

No one was hurt, and the property owner said all the goats and chickens have been accounted for.

However, she said the animals are now homeless and a new chicken coop or other arrangements are needed. Anybody with any information about helping out should contact Becky Lennen at (616) 634-2286.
