SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The body of Nathan Troy Munsey, 47, of Goodrich, Mich., was recovered Sunday night after official search efforts had been suspended. A boater on the lake found the body shortly after 9 p.m.
The search for Munsey began after 7 p.m. Saturday after it was reported that he had jumped off a pontoon boat on Round Lake in Sheridan Township but failed to surface. The search was suspended around 2 a.m. Sunday.
After the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Dive Team resumed the search at 7 a.m. Sunday, they used various tools in the search, from side scan SONAR to cell phone data to try to establish the course the pontoon boat took on the lake.
