ALLEGAN, Mich. — Three men dismantling an old trailer where trapped when the roof collapsed Wednesday afternoon.
Crews worked to free the men, taking two of them to Bronson Hospital with serious injuries. The initial investigation shows the roof was not properly supported and no safety equipment was found to have been used by the crew.
The Allegan County Sheriff's Office tells FOX 17 there was a "significant snow load" on top of the single-wide trailer when they arrived.
The men were subcontracted by a local business hired to take apart the trailer at 611 Delano Street in Allegan Township. The third man refused medical treatment but only had minor injuries.
