KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 31-year-old Kalamazoo resident had to be extricated from his vehicle after a crash on S. Portage.
His car left the road and hit a sign around 2:31 a.m., according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
After officer arrived at the site of the accident, they found that the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
However, the damage to the car was so extensive that the driver had to be extricated from it.
He was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical condition.
The accident is still under investigation.
