KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Officers are currently investigating reports of a potential shooting in Kalamazoo.

At around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July, 25, police responded to the multiple calls of an alleged shooting in a residential area of Washington Avenue, near Stockbridge Avenue United Methodist Church and Mill Street Market.

Authorities arrived to the location and found the scene, but found no victim.

A short time later, a 25-year-old Mattawan resident showed up at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, but police have not said whether the two events are related or not.

This is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8139 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
