KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon on Fox Ridge Drive.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a subject who had been shot in the 1400 block of Fox Ridge Dr.
Officers arrived and located the victim, who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Officers also located a large number of bullet casings on scene.
The shooting took place in a hallway of a large apartment complex where several families and children were present. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses informed officers that the suspects were two unknown males.
Only one of the suspects was armed with a firearm.
