KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo police responded to reports of a stabbing on California Avenue this morning, according to Kalamazoo Public Safety.
We’re told police found a 45-year-old male with a stab wound in the chest when they arrived.
Police say the man’s wounds are non-life-threatening, adding that the victim claimed to have been hit after a pair of knives were thrown at him.
The suspect is a 14-year-old male Kalamazoo resident who was located some time later, authorities say. We’re told he has been charged with felonious assault and is currently lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home.
