KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Red Roof Inn in Kalamazoo is heavily damaged due to a fire and a responding firefighter has suffered minor injuries.
At 10 p.m. on Friday, October 23, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to reports of a fire coming out the business on East Cork Street, near Clarion Inn and Indusco Supply.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire within an hour, and the firefighter who was injured went to the hospital for treatment.
The Fire Marshal's office is still investigating the cause of the fire; anyone with information is asked to call the Department of Public Safety at 488-8911 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
