KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is praising the work by its K9 officer Ozzy after tracking down a suspect wanted for domestic assault.
Police say it started around 5:30 p.m. Monday in the area of East Cork and Cameron Streets in Kalamazoo.
When officers arrived, they learned the suspect took off from the scene.
After tracking through several yards and going over numerous fences, the suspect was located hiding in the backyard of a house on Lincolnshire Boulveard.
The suspect was arrested for domestic assault, resisting and obstructing officers, and for two outstanding warrants.
This case will be forwarded to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors office for review.
