BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A semi-truck delivering liquid sugar to Post Foods in Battle Creek rolled over in the parking lot Sunday evening.

Emergency responders responded around 7:17 p.m. to the Post Foods facility at 275 Cliff St. When they got there, they found the semi on its side with the driver still inside. Police didn't say what caused the semi to turn over.

A hazmat team was called to the scene to clean of leaking fuel from the truck and to get 48,000 pounds of liquid sugar moved from the trailer.

The driver was removed from the truck without injuries and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Crews cleared the area around 11:20 p.m. Sunday.
