ATHENS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Calhoun County woman and her child are being escorted back to Michigan after her estranged husband forced them into his car, taking them across state lines.
Police tell FOX 17 calls came in Saturday just before 1:30 saying the 38 year-old woman was screaming and being forced into a car against her will in the 5000 block of N. Drive South. Callers told police the woman's young child was already in the car.
The 32 year-old man was found in Fort Wayne by Indiana State Police and taken into custody for kidnapping. The woman and her son are being escorted back to Calhoun County by investigators and the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department says they are reviewing charges for unlawful imprisonment and interfering with a 911 call against the man.
