ATHENS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 22-year-old man from Athens Township is accused of killing a five-month-old puppy with a chainsaw, as first reported by the Battle Creek Inquirer.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Erik Paul Taylor may face as many as 10 years behind bars if convicted.
Taylor reportedly believed that the dog was possessed. His next court appearance is expected to be held Feb. 9.
