BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek received about eight inches of snow overnight and city officials are reminding residents of a few points.

Those who park on the street and are able to move their cars should do so in order to help snowplows get from curb to curb when they get into neighborhoods.

Waste Management will not pick up Tuesday customers, delaying everyone’s pick-up by one day this week.

Carts and bags that have already been put out for pick-up Tuesday should be brought back inside for the day.

Waste Management expects to be caught up by Saturday.

Battle Creek Transit is still operating, but are focusing more on safety than speed, so the city is asking riders to be patient and to stand near their stops as safely as possible so bus drivers can see them.
