A semi trailer carrying a large volume of paper towelscaught fire along M-6 near the Broadmoor exit early Monday morning.

Authorities say the call came in after 3a.m. in Dutton Township. The driver was not injured, but it made for quite a messy clean up.

Authorities say the westbound lanes have been closed for several hours.
