BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A new video will show you a local bridge being demolished in just under two minutes.
The time-lapse video shows the demolition of the 100th Street Bridge in Byron Township. It was posted by the Michigan Department of Transportation on April 3.
The bridge was built in 1957 and spanned US-131.
It was demolished during the week of March 30.
MDOT says it is investing $8.6 million to re-build and "improve" the bridge, in partnership with the Kent County Road Commission and Byron Township.
