KENTWOOD, Mich. — Several families have been relocated after a gas leak in a townhome caused them to evacuate their homes overnight.

It happened around 1 a.m. at Bloomfield Townhomes located at 6080 Spica Drive in Kentwood.

We're told a gas line broke, causing an explosion in the basement of one of the homes.

The leak impacted six other units and also caused a water line to break.

No one was injured, and all affected residents have been temporarily relocated.
