GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office raised $500 to benefit Gilda’s Club through its pink patch program last year.

Deputies purchased a patch to wear on their uniform during Breast Cancer Awareness Month last year. The proceeds from that program are going to Gilda’s Club, a nonprofit that provides cancer and grief support in West Michigan.

Thursday morning, members of the sheriff’s office went to deliver the check to the nonprofit.

The program will continue next year with a new patch coming out this spring.
