North Kent Connect to open Saturday for ‘touchless’ donations

COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — North Kent Connect will resume accepting donations of clothing and household items on Saturday, May 16.

Donations will be accepted Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. While they accept household items, the only appliances they accept are small kitchen appliances.

The “touchless” donation process involves you removing your donations from your vehicle and place bagged or boxed items in designated containers. They ask that you wait to do that until the people in the vehicle ahead of you are finished.

North Kent Connect is an outreach serves northern Kent County with a food pantry, a thrift store, classes and other services. The thrift store for now remains closed, but the pantry has drive-through service Mondays and Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for clients.
