CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A second suspect has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting last month in Cascade Township, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
Devanta Jamari Glasper, a 27-year-old Grand Rapids man, was charged in connection to the Jan. 6 shooting at the Clarion Inn and Suites that killed Markel Tyrel Williams.
Glasper is being charged with homicide – open murder, homicide – felony murder, armed robbery and three counts of a felony firearm.

He’s being held at the Gila County Jail in Globe, Arizona on a bond violation out of the 17th Circuit Court and is contesting extradition back to Grand Rapids.
The homicide charge was added Friday and Glasper was arraigned virtually in the 63rd District Court.
A $2 million cash bond was set.
