GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent County Board of Commissioners approved an additional $1 million for schools in the county to offset costs of dealing with COVID-19. The board had approved $2 million in August.
The money will come out of a $115 million grant in CARES act money sent to the county.
The money for the schools is expected to be used to pay for extra costs directly related to the pandemic, including resources, services, and supplies.
