GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Shelters are often crowded with animals that ran away around the Fourth of July.
So the Bissell Pet Foundation is helping their partners by sponsoring adoption fees this weekend.
The event kicked off on Friday and will run through Sunday at more than 160 shelters in 32 states.
There are 40 shelters in Michigan that are taking part, offering adoptions at $25 or less.
All of the animals are micro-chipped, spayed, or neutered.
