Car engulfed in flames after hitting tree in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, Mich. — A one-car crash in Jamestown early Sunday evening left one car on fire.

The crash occurred on 68th street off of Wilson Avenue, where a car went off the roadway for unknown reasons and hit a tree.

After hitting the tree, the car became engulfed as a small fire continued to grow. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

The driver and lone passenger of the vehicle has not been identified, but it has been confirmed by the Kent County Sheriff's Office that the driver suffered non-fatal injuries.

This crash is still under investigation.
