GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Three people who recently traveled to China from Kent County are under voluntary quarantine for the coronavirus.
The people are in a 14-day monitoring period, following a new system enacted by the Centers for Disease Control this month. CDC considers them a medium risk because they were in China’s mainland.
All three are undergoing daily health checks and the health department is doing daily check-ins.
The health department said there are no signs they have the coronavirus at this point.
Steve Kelso, communications manager for the health department, said the flu is a large concern and running rampant in the county right now.
