BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — In-person instruction for all Industrial Trades students will resume starting Feb. 1 Kellogg Community College's Regional Manufacturing Technology Center (RMTC) reports.

RMTC, located in Battle Creek, hosts College's Industrial Trades and manufacturing programs, alongside workforce training initiatives. In-person instruction has been suspended at the facility since mid-November, when KCC announced its latest round of major campus restrictions meant to reduce and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Industrial Trades Education Director Kimberlee Andrews-Bingham said in keeping with by state and federal recommended measures all safety measures that were in place when labs were closed in November will be continued throughout the spring semester.

"This includes, but is not limited to, mask requirements onsite, temperature and symptom checks upon arrival, social distancing and students working with program faculty to book lab time by appointment," Andrews-Bingham said.

Beginning Feb. 1, RMTC labs will be open to students from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Students can register online or register in-person at the RMTC during regular business hours. Industrial Trades students attending satellite sites in Barry and Branch are encouraged to contact those sites directly for more information about lab availability at those locations.
