Grandville PD seeking to identify April assault victim

GRANDVILLE, Mich. — The Grandville Police Department (GPD) is seeking the public's help in identifying the victim of an assault that occured 11 days ago.

On the evening of Thursday, April 23,Grandville Police responded to the 3800 block of Indian Mounds Dr. SW to assist an injured person.

The subject was the victim of an assault and likely left at this location. The suspects and motives of this assault are unknown at this time.

The subject initially identified himself as “Pedro Ortiz.” Due to medical treatments, the subject has been unable to communicate further.

Traditional attempts to identify the subject have been conducted without success.

The subject is a hispanic male who approximately 30 years old. 5’7” tall, 165 pounds. He has no tattoos. black hair, brown eyes, and he was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a bright blue t-shirt.

A photo of the subject will not be released due to patient privacy concerns. Grandville Police will arrange for the photo to be shown to persons with potential information.
