GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In a year where many businesses are struggling to survive, Hey Barber, a new Eastown barbershop, is celebrating its grand opening.
Owner Sara Close chose to expand her business for one simple reason - the need for community.
“In today's world of COVID, we have been told to stay home, to have as little human interaction as possible,” remarked Close. “In so many ways this is necessary and so important to public health, but what is it doing to the individual? Mental health issues are on the rise, partially because people are isolated and lonely.”
