GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police identified the man who died after being shot at Garfield Cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
DeShowne Kirkland was taken to an area hospital before officers arrived to the scene.
The 21-year-old died at the hospital.
Investigators say a call to 911 reported the shooting around 4pm on May 12.
The GRPD Major Case Team is leading the investigation in Kirkland's death. They ask anyone with information to contact silent observer.
