GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Power was knocked out to streetlights across Grand Rapids Wednesday.

The city says a handful of primary circuits were tripped, possibly resulting from work being done at the Coldbrook intersection.

Crews worked for hours to restore power.

The city posted an update to its Facebook page around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, saying more than 90 percent of the city's traffic lights have been restored.

Additionally, city officials say more than 18,000 street lights were also restored.

However, there are a few blocks of outages that remain near Coldbrook Street and Monroe Avenue, including Mason, Ottawa, Bond, Fairbanks and Newberry, where the fault occured.
