Suspects in custody after shots fired at Grand Rapids home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Four people are in custody after an incident involving shots being fired early Monday morning at an occupied home in Grand Rapids.

The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. on the 400 block on Quimby Street NE, police said.

One of the residents reported a car driving away, and Grand Rapids police found a matching vehicle at Plainfield Avenue and Leonard Street NE. One of the car's occupants admitted to firing the shots, police said.

The house was hit once, as well as a vehicle nearby. Police found seven spent casings in the street.

No one was injured.
