Southeast Farmers Market opens Saturday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A fixture of the Southeast side of Grand Rapids, the Southeast Farmers Market will operate at two locations this year, beginning Saturday, organizers at Our Kitchen Table announced this week.

The market will operate at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 900 Fuller Avenue SE, on Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning July 11.

It will also operate every other Thursday at Joe Taylor Park, 1138 Bemis Street SE, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning July 16.

In addition to fresh produce, meal preparation and workshop events will be held, organizers said in a release.
