3 arrested after overnight break-ins at Kent County businesses

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — It's been a busy night for law enforcement in Kent County.

There was a break-in around 3:30 a.m. Thursday at the Extreme Car Audio and Abra Auto Body Repair of America located at 2090 28th Street.

Grand Rapids police along with forensics responded and found a large garage door heavily damaged.

It is not clear if anything was taken.

A short time later, the Kent County Sheriff's Office responded to the Rise Smoke Shop, located at 3728 Alpine Ave NW Comstock Park after the glass on the front door was damaged.

Deputies say three people are in custody in connection to the break-in at Rise.

Deputies have not said if anything was taken.

Our crew also saw Kent County deputies on scene at RightWay Auto Sales, 4414 Alpine Ave NW in Comstock Park.

The front door was smashed out but no word if anything was stolen by the suspects.

We are working to see if investigators believe these situations are connected.
