GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police confirm a traffic accident occurred on Alpine and Pannell Road Wednesday afternoon.
Sgt. John Wittkowski says a semi-truck was unable to cross into the northbound lanes when pulling off of Pannell Road as a result of traffic blockage, which was when a vehicle attempted to merge onto the southbound lane when it collided into the semi-truck.
Police say the driver was transported to a nearby hospital and that his injuries are considered minor after initially being ruled critical.
