MSP arrests 2 in connection with child sexual abuse

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Michigan State Police arrested two men in connection with child sexual abuse online.

Tyler James Jandernoa, 31, of Grand Rapids was arrested in Mason County after a yearlong undercover investigation into his online activity, MSP said.

Additional evidence was taken from his Eastown home and Jandernoa was lodged at the Kent County Jail.

He was arraigned on distribution and possession of child sexually abusive material, as well as two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

The second man, Christopher James Haugen, 42, of Wyoming, was arrested after a traffic stop and search warrant at his home.

He is also lodged at the Kent County Jail.

Haugen was arraigned on child sexually activity, possession of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

MSP encourages parents to speak with their children about safe use of the internet.
