GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Kalamazoo man has been detained for allegedly being a felon possessing a firearm, possession of cocaine with intent of distribution, and possessing a firearm to conduct crimes involving drug trafficking, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Michigan.
We’re told Jhontae Kaprice Jamison was apprehended following a vehicular pursuit with investigators after a search warrant was issued. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says investigators found a loaded Walther PPQ 9mm handgun in Jamison’s path, adding that he was carrying cocaine when he was searched.
Authorities say U.S. Magistrate Judge Ray Kent ordered Jamison to be held as he awaits trial.
