GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — There were over 13,000 new cases of cervical cancer and 4,250 deaths in the United States in 2019, and the disease can be prevented.
January is Cervical Health Awareness Month and the disease can be entirely prevented through vaccination, appropriate screenings, and treatment.
Most health insurance companies will cover preventive care, which includes cervical cancer screenings or HPV vaccinations.
