ALLENDALE, Mich. — Grand Valley State University is reporting nearly 400 active cases of COVID-19 in just the second week of classes.
According to online data, two staff members have tested positive for the virus along with 35 on-campus students.
More than 240 students who live near campus have also tested positive for COVID-19.
Data shows 1.41 percent of the university have tested positive, with an average of 45.3 new cases of COVID-19 every day.
The university says it continues to test students and is working closely with the Kent County Health Department.
