GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Mary Free Bed releases first COVID-19 patient from their recovery unit.

Nancy Blodgett fought COVID-19 for 21 days at Bronson Hospital before being moved to Mary Free Bed for rehabilitation and recovery. Friday, the Portage woman left the rehabilitation facility after graduating from their program.

We brought you Nacy's story when she left Bronson where she had spent 9 days on a ventilator. While at Mary Free Bed, Nancy underwent physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help regain the strength to go home.

“I couldn’t be where I am today without all the help I received at Mary Free Bed,” Said Nancy. “Between Bronson Hospital, Mary Free Bed and the power of prayer, it’s by the grace of God I am still here today.”
