KALAMAZOO, Mich. — After 21 terrifying days of treatment, Nancy Blodgett left Bronson Methodist Hospital a COVID-19 survivor.

It’s one of the scariest things I’ve ever been through, but I pulled through,” says Nancy. “I’m still weak, but I’m alive. The biggest thing I’m looking forward to is gaining my strength and doing everything they tell me to do to get back to a normal life. I can’t wait to spend time with my grandsons and family and friends.”

Nancy spent three weeks in the care of Bronson physicians, nurses and staff, who all lined up to say their goodbyes. She was released Friday to a reahbilitation facility for further care. Her message to everyone? Stay safe, and be mindful of others as the quarantine persists.

“I feel like I did everything right and I still got sick. So, keep washing your hands, keep using sanitizer, wear a mask and be careful.”

Bronson shared with FOX 17 they have discharged 28 successfully treated for COVID-19 to date.
